Clevedon Town  1    Fry Colts  1

Sunday, 18 April 2004

In an entertaining match, Clevedon Town and Fry Colts shared the honours at full time, and this was a fair reflection of the game. It was keenly fought by both teams with no quarter sought or given. Clevedon opened the scoring on 38 minutes when Matt Wickings dispossessed the defender to thread a delightful ball through to the awaiting Sean Gilhespy who needed no second invitation. The second half saw Clevedon start at speed and they were unlucky to have a goal disallowed for offside. That was just the wake up call that Fry Colts needed and they took their turn to pile on the pressure. Their efforts were rewarded in the 82nd minute when Ian Field levelled the scores. At the final whistle, both teams were clapped off the pitch and all agreed that if the spectators had paid to go in, they would have had their monies worth. .
